Working for a tiny non-profit organisation which is fathered by an 80 year old man yesterday didn't seem so smooth as it usually does. He had a conference on Saturday and when I went to work on Monday one of my tasks was to upload photos of his event to his website. The process of doing so is he wanted to delete some photos and keep the good ones. I was showing him all the photos one-by-one in large thumbnail mode and opening it up on his ancient computer. He confirmed and accepted as I deleted every single photo he didn't want right in front of him. So, as I showed him a photo he either said keep or delete and when he said 'delete' I pressed the delete button, done and we moved onto the next. In this way we completed the whole batch of maybe 20 photos. He even looked at all of them again in large thumbnail mode, accepted and confirmed these are the ones he would like to be uploaded on to his so-called "website".
After the uploading was complete he wanted to have a photo as an image on the front page of the site as well as in the photo-gallery. He looked at one or two with some speakers sitting near a table but he couldn't see the sixth speaker even though I pointed out to him the sixth person is there, he said theres supposed to be another person excluding the sixth person in the photo - but thats the seventh person which didn't understand.
He then went mad and starting saying these aren't the photos he asked me to upload, we had an argument with his voice raised and mine calm going round in circles that I didn't delete anymore of his photos than he wanted and him saying I have. Thene he forced me to become a liar buy saying we can now see those photos aren't there and that I HAVE deleted them while I am still telling him how can I have deleted his photos if I was pressing the delete button right in front of him on every photo he said to delete. Even better I told him, ok, I can verify this by showing the deleted photos are in the recycle bin and on top of that there is a backup and a backup of a backup but he was not interested. The photos were copied into another folder so the originals would stay safe and we would work on the copy which we did - but he wasn't interested and he said those were not the originals but I have deleted them - how can I delete the original photos if they were totally seperate in anothe folder. So he wasn't interested in the backup copy, or the delete photos in the recycle bin. I then told him that there was a backup of the originals in another location on the computer which he downloaded from the internet which was taken by someone else and the link emailed to him for him to download his own conference photos whch somene else took for him. The thing is he doesn't even trust his own workers to take photos for him.
This crookid old man is so confusing that when he can't even speak properly for others to understand. As a person ages his brain slowly deteriotes or "goes" as he was talking about one of his fellow committee colleagues to someone else which I overheard. A lot of the time when gives an instruction to do something he says it the wrong way or in the wrong order and becomes the opposite of what he said and he gets annoyed and goes 'na, na, na' in crooked minisicule voice that resembles his spitting image.
I hate working for him so much I want to leave working there and go somewhere but there is no where else to go yet because if there was I would tell him all his faults, lies, that his noodles in his head are gone and he is now a half mad-man with a deterioting brain and that he needs to rest in mental care home.
